Frequently Asked Questions

Can residents manage the alarm panel themselves?

Yes. The SP2300 has dedicated programming and navigation keys plus a menu structure that makes setup point-and-click. It can also be configured from a web page, covering setup, feature selection, volume and user codes.

Can building security communicate with suites through the panel?

Yes. Guards can send text messages to a single suite, a group of suites or the whole building — for example a parcel notification or a building-wide notice.

Does the panel support wireless sensors?

Yes. The SP2300 supports up to 16 programmable wireless zones with the optional RF module, including water sensors, door and window contacts, glassbreak and heat/humidity sensors.

Is it suitable for retirement communities?

Yes. Check-in and Suite Occupancy features can signal the guard station if a resident does not check in, or if no movement is detected in the suite over a set period.

How much power does the panel use?

Approximately 1/4 watt even with the LCD screen on, based on the green technology used across Condoplex products.
