Bluetooth Card Reader

BTMC

The slim mount design of the BTMC makes it an ideal reader for applications such as door access, entry and parking barriers. Users need only present their smartphone to be granted access, or alternatively present a Mifare card credential should their phone not be available.

The BTMC is compatible with Mifare tags or Bluetooth-enabled smartphones running iOS 7.0 or Android 4.3 and above, delivering non-contact read ranges for Mifare cards of 2–6 cm and roughly 100 cm for Bluetooth-enabled phones. The reader is secured with tamper-resistant, weatherproof epoxy.

What happens if the server or network goes down?

Each controller stores its field-device data in internal memory and continues to operate standalone, recording all network operations and making decisions until the connection is re-established.

Can one system control doors, elevators and parking gates?

Yes. The CPLX-CVP6 integrates access control, suite security, voice communications, panic alarm, elevator control, CCTV control and medic alert on a single platform with one database.

How many devices can a controller manage?

The controller comes standard with 4 optically isolated ports, expandable to 8, with each port interrogating its devices 50–60 times per second and operating independently of the others.

Can the system be serviced without a site visit?

Yes. Controllers support remote internet VPN communications, remote diagnostics and remote upgrades, reducing service disruption and dealer site visits.
