WIM
Access Control Module
The WIM unit is a highly reliable networked device capable of providing control to a single access point. On the network, each WIM is assigned an address and polled for security and operational messages. The WIM accepts codes from all residents for garage, elevator, gate and door access. AnyBit™ allows Condoplex products to work seamlessly with existing card formats, making it an ideal product for retrofit installations.
The WIM may also be coordinated with intercoms so that guards can quickly and conveniently release elevators and doors upon completion of a call. The intercom call, time to respond, termination and access granted are all recorded into the audit logs.
The WIM is designed to report its operational status under all circumstances. Should the WIM lose communications with the network, it may be programmed to operate in a “failsafe” mode whereby residents gain access based on their site facility code. If the WIM should malfunction or the network fail, browser-based real-time guarding terminals immediately report the event, and notifications are generated to the appropriate service company or technician.
