The slim-mount design of the BTMC makes it an ideal reader for door access, entry and parking barriers. Users need only present their smartphone to be granted access, or a Mifare card credential should their phone not be available.
The BTMC is compatible with Mifare tags or Bluetooth-enabled smartphones running iOS 7.0 or Android 4.3+, with non-contact read ranges of 2–6 cm for Mifare cards and roughly 100 cm for Bluetooth phones. The reader is secured with tamper-resistant, weatherproof epoxy.
