The RLC-16 unit is a highly reliable networked device for elevator control. While many manufacturers use 2-amp relays and thin-layer boards, Condoplex continues its tradition of quality with 5-amp relays and thick, heavy-gauge boards.
Relays are pluggable, practically eliminating downtime and costly repairs, since a single defective relay can be swapped rather than replacing the entire board. The RLC-16 withstands the harsh electromagnetic conditions common in elevator rooms and cabs, with an on-board input that releases all relays in a fire event.
Each RLC-16 is assigned a network address via dip switch and polled for security and operational messages, with programming done via web browser. If it loses communication or power, it can be programmed to operate in fail-safe or fail-secure modes.
