CPLX-CVP6 Access Control System
Dedicated device controller
The CPLX-CVP6 controller is designed to integrate with many Condoplex sub-systems — access control, suite security, voice communications, panic alarm, elevator control, CCTV control and medic alert. It's powered by a Linux O/S and is a true multi-user, multi-tasking system.
The controller comes standard with 4 optically isolated ports, each interrogating the operational state of its devices 50–60 times a second. An expansion port allows another 4 ports (8 total), permitting further network isolation so a large portion of the system stays operational even when one segment fails.
All data relating to field devices is downloaded to the controller's internal memory, so it continues to operate when communication to the server is lost — recording all network operations and making decisions independently until the network is re-established.
What makes the CPLX-CVP6 different
- Networked (TCP/IP) or stand-alone operation
- Embedded Linux O/S for high uptime and reliability
- Dual redundancy / RS485 message injection between controllers
- Remote Internet VPN communications and diagnostics
- Fanless operation with onboard UPS and graceful shutdown
- Each port interrogates devices independently for maximum reliability
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the server or network goes down?
Each controller stores its field-device data in internal memory and continues to operate standalone, recording all network operations and making decisions until the connection is re-established.
Can one system control doors, elevators and parking gates?
Yes. The CPLX-CVP6 integrates access control, suite security, voice communications, panic alarm, elevator control, CCTV control and medic alert on a single platform with one database.
How many devices can a controller manage?
The controller comes standard with 4 optically isolated ports, expandable to 8, with each port interrogating its devices 50–60 times per second and operating independently of the others.
Can the system be serviced without a site visit?
Yes. Controllers support remote internet VPN communications, remote diagnostics and remote upgrades, reducing service disruption and dealer site visits.
